(b)Wide-Area Networks (WAN) This is to interlink computers and related equipment in geographically diverse locations, sometimes stretching across territorial boundaries.  

(c)  Virtual  Private  Networks  (VPN)  Secure networks for inter-branch connectivity  

(d) Virtual LANs (VLAN) Small grouping of network segments within one or more locations, operating as part of a Local Area Network (LAN).    

(e) Wireless LANs Local Area Network built using wireless-radio technology.   

(f)  Data  Cabling Data  and  voice cabling using structured cabling.
